1905*(B.A.C.) - Aaron Grus starts Sanitary Fish and Poultry on Second Avenue in Daytona Beach, Florida. The company was only open in the winter season. The summers were far too hot. *(Before Air Conditioning)
1932 - Aaron's sister Clara and her husband Sam Sacks join the business. Starting from Daytona with a load of fish, Sam would buy and sell his way to Miami and back.
1945 - Irving joins his father, Sam, in the family business after he serves in the Army in WWII; together they build a new facility- Daytona Beach Cold Storage at 240 N. Seagrave Avenue.
1950 - Leonard also joins his father; Sam, in the business full time after he serves in the Navy in WWII and graduates from the University of Florida.

 

 

1955 Minute Maid Brand Orange Juice selects us as the first distributor of their new revolutionary item, Frozen Orange Juice Concentrate.
1981 Leonard take the helm as CEO. David, his son, joins the business full time.
1995 - We complete a 14,000 Sq, Ft. Addition. This includes a brand new federally inspected meat processing facility.
2004 - David Sacks takes the helm as CEO.
2005 - We complete construction of our brand new state-of-the-art, 100,000 Sq Ft facility in South Daytona, FL. This marks the 100th anniversary of Food Supply.
